Hi! I’m Kristine. I’ve always loved creating, and journaling became my favorite way to bring ideas and moments to life. Since 2021, I’ve been drawn to the traveler’s notebook format for its reusability, intentionality, and the way it makes each entry feel meaningful. To me, leather isn’t just material, it’s an heirloom that holds stories.
My first DIY TNs back in 2022: I bought cheap leather online, not knowing there was an entire world of leathercraft waiting behind that one impulse purchase.
I made these earlier this year, one for me and one for my husband. He didn’t like journaling at all, but I lovingly forced him, and now I have a journaling partner. These two became the quiet beginning of Loom & Margaux.
I started making my own journals in 2022 with no formal background, just curiosity, a desire to grow, and a love for creating. Every experiment and prototype taught me something new about craft, design, and how to hold life’s moments intentionally.
Those first journals, made for myself and my husband, became the beginning of Loom & Margaux, a brand rooted in living, observing, experimenting, and creating vessels that honor the woman you are becoming.
Through observation and experimentation, we discovered: trifolds are best for motion, bifolds for reflection. Every design, size, and pocket is intentional, made to move with your life while keeping your experiences safe, accessible, and beautiful.
Leaving corporate life pushed me to redefine success on my own terms. Journaling helped me overcome self-doubt, perfectionism, and fear of judgment. Traveling helped me see myself more clearly. Bringing both together became the heart of this business.
Today, we’re a small team, me, my supportive husband, and our son who helps pack orders. And through every journal we create, I hope to inspire others to document their journey and step into who they’re becoming.
